Autumn

Autumn is the time for colourful leaves. Marvel at the scenery from the hot tubs at one of the many spas like Amerispa - Spa at the Bonne Entente Hotel! There are also aerial courses in the region that combine footbridges, climbing and zip lines so you can explore the forests of the Capitale-Nationale.

Mountain biking is one of the best ways to visit the area. Don't forget to bring your light organic cotton pieces from the made-in-Quebec Nature collection, to let your body breathe during this intense activity!

You can also explore the Huron River and Lake Saint-Charles by renting a kayak from one of many locations. Whether you’re going solo or sharing a double kayak, you're sure to get your fill of physical effort and fabulous scenery!

From September to early October, Mont-Sainte-Anne’s Great Colour Adventure is a must in the region. A real treat for outdoor enthusiasts, this festival is a great way to discover one of the most beautiful mountains in the Capitale-Nationale region. Your family and friends are sure to enjoy the event's lineup of outdoor activities!

Winter activities are everywhere in the Capitale-Nationale. Equipped with your winter accessories, you can experience the thrill of skiing or snowboarding down  mountains  such as Stoneham! The region has mountains for every level and every mood,  so you can be sure you’ll find the best one for your winter outings.

Change up your daytime skating habit by experiencing a magical evening skate! Municipalities such as Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier and Shannon offer enchanting skating routes in forests strung with sparkling lights.

For a large dose of adrenaline and incredible landscapes, you can take a snowmobile trip through the region. Use an interactive snowmobile trail map to safely explore the most beautiful routes.

You can also discover paraskiing, a unique activity in the region where you ski down the slopes using the wind's propulsion: speed guaranteed!

Spring

In spring, take advantage of the return of the good weather to go paddling on one of the many rivers or lakes in the region! For the more land-loving, there are many scenic bike paths in Quebec City. We recommend the Samuel-De Champlain Parkway as well as the Littoral and Cheminots corridors.

For golf enthusiasts, there are several beautiful courses on the shores of the St. Lawrence, such as the one in Cap-Rouge. The milder weather is also a great opportunity to try outdoor yoga, to relax in the middle of breathtaking natural landscapes!

Of course, the ski resorts mentioned earlier remain open until April so ski fans can enjoy spring skiing at Mont-Saint-Anne or Stoneham.

Summer

With four main rivers (Cap Rouge, Saint-Charles, Beauport and Montmorency) crisscrossing the region, the possibilities are endless if you're into water activities!

For thrills, try your hand at canyoning in the various waterfalls of the region such as  Delaney Falls, Easter Island Waterfalls, Cascades des Anges or  Cascades des Falaises!.

In addition, the many parks in the region are available for camping, barbecuing or even enjoying the beach such as the one at Beauport Bay!
